Cogged  Banded V-Belt Cross Reference

A cogged banded V-belt combines the high flexibility and efficient heat dissipation features of cogged belts with the strength and stability of banded belts. This design incorporates multiple cogged V-belts that are joined together by a fabric cover, creating a single belt unit. The cogs or notches on the inner surface of the belts allow them to bend more easily around small pulleys, reducing the thermal and bending stress that can cause premature wear in traditional belts.

The banded construction enhances the belt's stability and load distribution across multiple pulleys, making it particularly suitable for applications with high shock loads or where belt whip and turn-over must be minimized. This configuration is ideal for drives with uneven load distribution, vertical shafts, and high horsepower requirements, providing smooth, vibration-free performance.

Constructed from rubber or synthetic materials and reinforced with high-strength fibers, cogged banded V-belts offer excellent durability, resistance to wear, and efficient power transmission. These belts are commonly used in heavy-duty industrial applications, such as HVAC systems, agricultural machinery, and various types of equipment where reliable and efficient power transmission is critical.
