Kevlar Corded V-Belts

Kevlar corded V-belts are a specialized type of power transmission belt known for their exceptional strength, durability, and resistance to stretching. Kevlar, a synthetic fiber developed by DuPont, is renowned for its high tensile strength-to-weight ratio, making it five times stronger than steel on an equal weight basis. When used as the reinforcing cord in V-belts, Kevlar provides superior strength, heat resistance, and dimensional stability.

These belts are designed to deliver high performance in demanding applications where conventional belts might fail due to excessive tension, heat, or wear. The Kevlar cords are embedded within a rubber or polymer matrix, which is then shaped into the traditional V-profile. This construction allows the belts to handle higher load capacities and operate in extreme conditions without losing their shape or elasticity.
