🗓️ Pre Season (Before First Use)
- Inspect Belts & Pulleys • Check for cracks, fraying, glazing • Spin each pulley by hand to confirm smooth operation
- Clean Deck Thoroughly • Remove grass buildup under the deck • Wipe down spindle housings and belt paths
- Lubricate Moving Parts • Grease spindles, idler pivots and tensioners
- Check Belt Tension • Use a tension gauge or deflection method (1/4" to 1/2" deflection at mid span)
- Safety Inspection • Tighten all deck mounting bolts • Verify smooth clutch engagement and disengagement

🌞 Mid Season (Every 25 Hours of Use)
- Examine Belt Condition • Look again for wear and replace if cord shows
- Balance and Sharpen Blades • Remove blades and check balance on a blade balancer • Sharpen edges and remove any nicks
- Verify Deck Alignment • Measure side to side deck height (within 1/8")
- Check Belt Path • Ensure belts track properly on sheaves with no off center riding
- Confirm Grass Discharge • Inspect for even discharge and clear any clogs

- Remove and Store Belts • Loosen tension and slide belts off to prevent set in
- Final Deck Cleaning • Power wash underside and allow to dry completely
